May 10, 2026 - This is the first roll I purchased at Bellows Film Lab, back when we were apartment hunting over New Year’s. The colors from this one are pretty interesting, especially with the more vibrant reds & oranges. It’s also the first <400 film speed roll of film I’ve shot, which as you can see resulted in some very underexposed photos. To be fair, some of those are because I didn’t realize the automatic flash was going to go off. I’m not quite used to how the P&S light meters function yet. That being said, I got some good photos in this batch!
I’ve been having a lot of fun shooting film here, and am excited for my next roll. After shooting so many experimental rolls though, I’m going back to a standard solid one, the Kodak Portra, but sticking to the 160 film speed. I’m going to switch back to my Canon Sureshot though, as I want the f/3.5 38mm lens - back to basics, no using flash or zoom.
